Hereford Beef



All our cattle are reared on our farm, fed on nothing but silage in winter and grass fed in the summer which we believe produces a fantastic full flavour. In the summer they can be found outside in the fields enjoying the rare British sunshine. The winter sees them retreat to the shed to be housed in a dry secure accommodation.
Although we aren't organic (this is due to uneconomical costs) we use no pesticides or chemical fertilizers on our fields. Only spreading back onto the fields what the cattle produce naturally.
All our produce is slaughtered at C.R Homer at Kilburn before been hung for 3 - 4 weeks. Hartleys at Tholthorpe then cut the meat, package and clearly label and weigh it ready for freezing. The beef will travel no more than 6 miles from our farm gate keeping it as local as possible. We do all the transportation of the cattle ourselves in small numbers which we believe reduces stress.
